I really ought to get some more up to date photos of my cousins on this page. The ones shown here are
a bit too long in the tooth, and probably give an inaccurate idea. They were part of a whole collection
of vintage snaps I borrowed, scanned, and then returned to their rightful owner. I think they were all
my mum's, although I'd love to do the same with any old snaps belonging to either of my grandmothers.
Although Mary and Pat split up a long time ago, circumstances meant that I met them all in 2003 when I
was home on holiday. I had met Mary, Martin and Colin at Tony and Drina's wedding. What took me by surprise
was seeing Pat at Colette's funeral a few days later. It was good of him to come, and I shook his hand and
welcomed him as he came into the church.
Like the McLeods, the McEwens - with the possible exception of Pat - no longer live in Wishaw. They moved
quite a long time ago to England. I understand that Martin travels extensively and maintains an impressive
network of Irish connections, thereby ensuring that he gets amazing hotel rates throughout the Western world.
Lots of people, especially Mary, insist that Martin and I look alike. Naturally, neither myself nor Martin
agrees with this.
